Several years ago my brother-in-law, Josh, served a tour in Iraq with the U.S. Army. Upon returning home, he had a difficult time transitioning back to everyday life. One of the things that helped him the most was his Border Collie/Australian Shepard puppy named Lucy that he and my sister adopted shortly after his return. Josh immediately became Lucy’s “person” and she went to work with him every single day. Even though Lucy was never formally trained as a therapy dog, that’s exactly what she became to him. I can only imagine the struggle our veterans with PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury face when they return home.

The Paws and Stripes organization works to rehabilitate shelter dogs into therapy dogs to place with these veterans, at absolutely no cost to the veteran. They believe in saving lives together, two at a time. And that’s a cause that Violet Crown Paw-Parazzi is honored to support! A portion of all proceeds received by Violet Crown Paw-Parazzi goes to this incredible organization.

If you would like to make a direct donation to the cause, you can do so on their website.
